He will assume the position while remaining responsible for Holden's design effort as part of his regional role. His appointment was jointly announced today by Holden Chairman and Managing Director Peter Hanenberger and President and CEO, GM Daewoo Auto & Technology, Nick Reilly.

Mr Simcoe joined Holden in 1983 and has been Director of Design at Holden since 2001. Mr Hanenberger today said Mr Simcoe would lead design strategy and oversee day-to-day design operations at GM Daewoo.
