GARDENA, CA�
Nissan announced the following changes among North American
executives. The changes are part of Nissan�s efforts to
strengthen all facets of its North American and global
operations in order to achieve our short- and long-term
objectives.
The following changes
are effective April 1, 2006, unless otherwise noted:
John French,
currently Vice President CPO and Financial Products at Nissan Motor
Acceptance Corp., will become Vice President, Global Sales and
Finance, a newly created position within Nissan North America�s
Administration and Finance operation. This appointment is effective
May 1.
Mike McConnell,
currently Regional Vice President of Nissan�s Mid-Atlantic Region
based in Herndon, Va., will succeed French at NMAC, the company�s
U.S. captive financing company. A successor for McConnell will be
announced later. This appointment is effective May 1.
Tatsutoshi Inutake,
currently Senior Director Engineering at Nissan�s Canton, MS,
assembly plant, becomes Vice President, Vehicle Production
Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. He replaces Shohei
Kimura, who will return to Japan as Vice President and Plant Manager
at the Oppama assembly plant.
Mark Swenson,
currently Vice President, Manufacturing Engineering, at Nissan�s
Smyrna, TN, assembly plant will also have responsibilities as Vice
President, Simultaneous Engineering. He will relocate to the Nissan
Technical Center North America facility in Farmington Hills, MI.
Tokuji Muramatsu
will become Vice President, Product Quality, replacing Doug Betts,
who recently was named Senior Vice President, Total Customer
Satisfaction. Muramatsu is currently General Manager, Vehicle
Quality Assurance Engineering in Japan.
